Fall into Research
- Washington DC & Richmond
2011
Sunday, October 28-Wednesday, November
7,
2012
(corresponds with General UDC)
11 Days/10 Nights
Canceled
Our company prides itself in offering trips that bridge the gap between fully escorted and land only packages. Travel to Washington DC and Richmond, VA with an experienced group. It includes staff and "Genie Junkies" that will be researching, sightseeing and attending UDC meetings in Richmond. It is up to each traveler to decide to take advantage of this scheduling, or strike off on their own. Deposits will reserve spot - four travelers will constitute mini-van travel. Deposits over these slots will be placed on waiting list for cancellations or if enough interest is generated to take a bus.
Those who wish more can add:
|
Combine as much research, learning and sightseeing as you can manage. |
DC research in the Library of Congress, National Archives, NSDAR Library and more. With an eye to economy, we will be staying in an outlying area - travelers may take the bus for transport, or strike out on their own in DC. Take side trips to places like Mount Vernon and/or take advantage of the Metro for trips on your own to the zoo and Alexandria (more research)! FYI - FCIC Washington DC Info |
"What to Wear": This shall, of course, be up to you based on your chosen activities and venues. While travelers may realize temperature control to please everyone in a bus-sized group is not possible - we need to remember this when packing. Many air conditioning systems do too good of a job (Idea-sweater), and heaters may also "over achieve" for your comfort zone (Idea-hand fan). Click here for our tips on packing. As usual, once a paid reservation has been made, our trips are non-refundable. This tour has been set with a total group number in mind. If this tour doesn't fill:
your deposit can be returned to you
your deposit can be applied to the trip with different costs involved
your deposit can be applied to different trip(s) or merchandise offered through us
Due to the slightly more fluid nature of travel after 9/11, we recommend that if worried about further changes, you obtain your choice of trip insurance from an independent carrier.
We recommend that if have any concerns about changes in your schedule, you obtain your choice of travel insurance from an independent carrier.
