Autobiography

Frankie has been writing the genealogy column for the Joplin Globe since 1999. During that time she's written over 200 columns about various aspects of family history research.

Having been doing family history research for about 20 years, and she has published two books:   "Maria Carlin and Her Historic Gifford and Waldo Ancestors of Harrison County, Virginia (now WV)" and "Family History of John Carlin Sr. and His Wife Catherine Read of Barbour (Formerly Harrison) County, West Virginia."

In her spare time,  she is finishing a book on her Quick ancestry, a book on her Haddock ancestry, a book on her Parmley ancestry, and a book on her Chancel ancestry.  Another book is about my experiences growing up on Carlin Ridge in eastern McDonald County, Missouri, "in the Ozarks".

Frankie has a bachelor of science degree and a master's degree in Biology and Education.  She taught high school biology for 30 years.

She lives with her husband, Jim, in Joplin, Missouri.
