Whats It Mean? - camera ready differences
///////////////////////////////

Camera Ready (see below): Material prepared for "shooting": Many printing is done utilizing photography or scanning in the early stages of the process.

Camera-Ready Digital File (Manuscript): A digital file or files, stored on the internet or removable media, that contains Camera Ready Manuscript to be printed.

Camera-Ready Digital Print Manuscript (CRDPM):/Camera-Ready Copy Machine Manuscript (CRCMM): hard copy/document feedable (* no paste up, attachments, gummy labels, etc.), single sheets printed one side, all same size, with binding margin (if desired). Many times, these will need to be digitized for optimum quality. Note: two sided manuscripts can sometimes create copy difficulties, therefore, we discourage such practices. Please note that all forms of reproduction will loose some clarity.

Camera Ready Disk: Computer disk that contains Camera Ready Manuscript to be printed.

Camera Ready (hard copy) Manuscript (mssc or CRM): Basically "what you see is what you get", printed on one side of the paper, it includes text, artwork, documents, and spaces for photos. Any blemishes, coffee stains, or copy machine "splatter" on the original will be on the final copy (finished books). Please note that all forms of reproduction from this manuscript will loose some clarity.

Public Speaking
Make the act of marketing pay you!

You don't have to be the most recognized professional in the country or a cheerleader to consider lecturing. The fact that you have produced a publication on any subject shows you believe in your knowledge enough to share it. Consider what type of audience you would be comfortable speaking to and then seek out invitations to those type of gatherings, or host one yourself.

Computer aid!?! - A website of your own - part 1
///////////////////////////////

Do you already rent space?

What does it cost to have a website? You are probably already paying for web space and don't even know it. Most dial up and high speed providers package web space into their fees. While the address (domain) may not be www.mynewbook.com or www.ImaAuthor.com, what do we expect for free? There are also several free service providers such as Bravenet, Webspace, and Angelfire, but they dictate your address (based on user name) and commonly add extra ads to the site and restrict you from actually selling anything on the pages. An address (Universal Research Locator or URL) provided by your internet service provider (ISP) or at a free server, are generally their address with your username added in such as:

www.neok.com/~ccorner
(Old Grand Lake, OK area provider - now defunct address)
or
www.geocities.com/carriescorner
(geocities was a free service provider powered by Yahoo that discontinued service October, 2009)
