The William Dill Family and Relatives
in America
Volumes I, II, and III
by Gilbert S. Dill
©
1993
G145-Set POD in Hard or Soft
Cover
8½x11", three volumes originally in the 1993 set (over 2,500 pages), were reset and revised to total only 1,526 pages, addenda in each volume, and indexed by volume. The page reduction was a result of eliminating all the DIY blank lines left in the original work, which also upgraded the quality of the text from typewritten. These books are sold as a single set and not available separately.
William and his brother, John, arrived in America sometime around 1715 or 1720 from Donegal County, Ireland. They came to Kent County, Delaware. Some of his children went west, in search of land. After a time, William resettled to South Carolina.

...
I have gathered and assembled information on our line of our Dill family and it's related families in America which has been an interesting learning process. It has also been a pleasure and an enjoyment for me as I knew very little about the people that I have found making up our Dill family and its related families.
This work is not offered to those who read it as being complete and as a history of our people. It is only a very long list of the names of the persons that make up our Dill family line and the related families. There are many gaps and places where more information is needed, but it contains the information that was available to me. More pictures would be helpful and interesting if they could have been available and used. I give notice to the readers that I am not a literary man and this work is not offered to it's readers as any great literary achievement. This information is offered to those interested in the Dill family because of the interesting facts which it contains, about the people who have made up our line of the Dill family in America. This information will not add one cent to the value of my or your estate, but if our people were good people, it will be a pleasure to know it, and knowing it could be an incentive to noble achievement for some one in our line in the future.
If this material stimulates interest in the Dill family and its relatives, if the name Dill becomes appreciated more by those who read these pages, and if the relatives of our Dill family are brought closer together in the bonds of brotherly and Christian love, then this work has not been done in vain and this writer is well repaid. It is also hoped that those who study this information will enjoy it and find much more pleasure in gathering and compiling future information on our Dill Family. I wish you happiness in you ancestral search and lots of good luck.
Sincerely,
Gilbert S. Dill
