Foreword

The Cochrane and Ripley families have been a joy to work with. I have met many of our relatives by telephone, correspondence, and in person. All are absolutely wonderful, and I appreciate each one's assistance in making this book possible. Thank you many times over for your prayers, friendship, and help.

We have an outstanding family, one in which we can all take great pride. When you red their brief histories, I know you will be amazed at their accomplishments and love each one, as much as I do.

I believe we all are eternally grateful for their many sacrifices, which made America great and in so doing, enriched our lives.
