General Notes:

Safe plastics include: polyester, polyethylene, polypropylene, NOT PVC or vinyl.

Clean - if you are using cloth, wash normally but don't use fabric softener. Then run them through a few times without detergent. Detergent can be harmful to items and it builds up over time - new fabric should go through this process as well to remove excess sizing, etc.
Silica gel may be used inside boxes to discourage moisture collection.

HEPA filters are made for a variety of uses: in heating/air conditioning systems as well as vacuum cleaners and as respirators.
