Other Publication Design Ideas
Quality may be a factor in deciding whether to included a printed photo in a family book, but not always. Many authors are producing hybrid books so they don't have to leave any photos out. This page contains some great ideas to be published by Gregath Company, Inc. to keep in mind.

o Insert in Word o Modify color to "black and white" o
Basic MS Word photo/graphic insertion instructions (may vary according to version):
Place cursor in the area you wish your picture to be
click the "Insert" pull down menu
place mouse over "picture" and slide right/down until you can click "from file"
browse in "picture" dialog box until you have selected the correct file then click "Insert" button.
Format to fit your manuscript page -
right click photo
from the shortcut menu click "format picture"
click the tab marked "layout"
click the wrapping style you wish - text is represented as lines and your picture is the dog.
click the OK button at the bottom
Repeat as necessary

Sometimes there really is a photo that can be worth more than words. Even these can have more impact if they have a descriptive caption. Note this caption sketches a story of a seemingly random photograph included in a history book. Click here for another informational caption example.
