Mailer
One option to potentially save money
for postal tools is the self mailer: A mailed literature piece that is not
enclosed in an envelope. By definition,
post cards are self mailers, as well as an
assortment of other designed pieces. Your format and layout should suit your
needs. Depending on what you need from a mailing, including the number mailed,
self mailing may not realize cost effective savings. Consider the basis below or
the standard mailing package
based on "standard" paper: for successful letter sized mailings an upgrade to at
least 24/60# paper is needed and the time to close may rival the final expense
of envelopes.
Self mailers are suggested to be at least 24/60# paper, folded certain ways and closed (tabbed) in such a way as to add stability to the mail piece to help it get though today's USPS high speed sorting machines without wrinkling, tearing, etc.
