What’s It Mean?

Multichannel Marketing: Marketing that is composed of more than one media element (or channel) such as: print (advertisement, flyer, mail tool, promotional items, etc.), email, internet, electronic (scan codes, etc.), TV, radio, etc.

Joint:  The grooves that run top to bottom (head to tail) on the outside of the cover itself, front and back, along which the boards hinge when they open.

Layout: A written/graphic plan of how the completed book should come together and look.  A full layout includes all elements from page placement to binding, and beyond.

Marketing advice

The same people claiming direct mail doesn't net enough return also claim print is dead. Don't discount direct mailing for promotion. Some content ideas include:

  • Provide coupons and special offers - from cents off to %, BOGO, or limited time only special service or products

  • Promote free consultations and quotations - many business charge for these services

Genealogy ideas

Never discard an unchecked document resource. Example: A person may own a fraction or "interest" to land through an estate - without owning land outright in their own name. This can still be used as collateral for mortgage (document), even if their name was never on the land document.
