QR codes are as easy to add to the front or back cover, when the hard or soft binding is full color, as to the interior of the book. Books with large enough spines can also have QR codes added to the spine. In fact, a QR Code make a great "Easter egg" placed as a divider.

Don't think a website for your book has to stand alone, you can link it to your social media, including blog and videos (vlog). It can be part of an author site, or your book works can interconnect.
