Smashwords is a great way to offer electronic books beyond standard PDF on CD (Gregath E-book standard). These alternate editions are provided as a way for a reader to get the content they wish in a format they want.

All Smashwords editions can be made available in PDF, Epub, HTML, RTF, Palm Doc, LRF, Kindle (mobi), and plain text formats.
