Each lab counts as 2 of attendees 4 selections.
Space limited to 15 per class, each
session. This means there are only 60 computer lab openings for the
entire day. Register early to get one of these spots. If you
are interested in computers, but don't see a section here you'd like, email
us. If we get enough interest, we may re-schedule classes.

Basic Beginners -
Clueless? This is the option for you. This class starts with the
parts of the computer and the basics. No need to have ever been on a
computer for this class. See what everyone is talking about. Class
will cover as much as it can within the time period - may even include some
Word processing, Internet browsing and email discussion.
Tip: after this class, you will be ready for
Beginning Internet.
Beginning Internet - Already
comfortable with your computer and want to learn how to surf and use the
Internet? This class covers the main tools of the Internet - the Browser
(Internet Explorer) and Email Program (Outlook Express).
Internet for Genealogists -
Already comfortable with your browser and want to use the Internet to help you
research? Brief review of browser/email leads into overviews of several
genealogical resources including, but not limited to: US Genweb, Cyndi's List
(links page), and Library of Congress/Copyright, as well as other options such
as Bulletin Boards, Email Lists, Chats, etc.

Family Tradition Scrapbooking -
Connie Johnson -
Designed to help expand your genealogy even more by incorporating photos with
your family history. While it is wonderful to know your roots, being
able to see what your ancestors looked like and what life was like for them
can help make your genealogy complete and more exciting. It is important
to preserve special memories your families have shared to pass on to your
children. This session will show you what you can do to enhance your
family tree. There will be some scrapbooking materials on display and
demonstrations of how to use them to create the same type of completed pages
that will also be on display. Participants may wish to bring some family
photos and, if time permits, the class may produce a page during the
session. All materials needed will be on-site. If participants
choose to work hands-on, a small fee will be assessed that day.
