Jeanette Yokley
Native American Migration

Jeanette Dittmeyer Yokley is the sixth generation who has lived in Oklahoma. She graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocational Home Economics Education. Jeanette has over thirty years of personal genealogical research experience. Two areas of special interest are Quaker Research and Native American Research, especially the Cherokee and Delaware Tribes. She has served as a volunteer librarian at the local Family History Center. She has worked as an employee in the Local and Family History area of the Bartlesville Public Library and now serves that area as a volunteer. Jeanette has presented numerous talks through the years to various groups. She has taught a beginning genealogy class at Tri County Tech. Jeanette is an active member of the Bartlesville Genealogical Society and the Bartlesville NSDAR Chapter. She has published The Descendants of Nelson Benjamin and Sarah Melissa (Howe) Farnsworth. Jeanette is half of the team who abstracted and published the Pawnee County, Oklahoma Territory Marriage Records October 25, 1883-January 8, 1908.
