Friday Scrappers

Friday Scrappers enjoy a full day of hands on classes featuring four different projects along with techniques and sharing with fellow scrappers. Basic materials are included, but experienced scrapbookers may want to bring their toolkit and assorted materials. Scrappers spend the whole day in workshops, get to fill up on drinks, snacks, and lunch, but depart before dinner.

  • 9:00 AM Check in (early retreat check in available for Scrappers only)

  • 9:15 AM Making scrapbooks from scratch workshop - Hands on workshop for a small, basic scrapbook that can be used for almost anything. Other scrapbook types will be shown and explained. See also Card Portfolio in the afternoon!  Skills include trimming, composition, gluing/assembly and ribbon use.

  • 11:15 AM Stamping card projects workshop - Use these techniques in your scrapbooks and beyond. Blank card stock will be provided and some stamping supplies will be on hand if you care to "come as you are". For the serious stamper, bring stamps to share, your favorite stamping tools (stamps, inking media, powders, etc.) and media (scrapbook pages, trim paper, cards, etc.). Skills include trimming, stamping, layout, combining stamps/colors, and composition.

  • 12:00 PM Working Lunch (food provided)

  • Basic Materials - All the basics that you need, though you probably prefer working with your own.

  • Snacks & Drinks

  • Complete Afternoon - 2 bonus sessions!

Limited "community" supplies will be available to share. However, to make the time pass smoothly, scrapbookers should bring their own stick glue (or adhesive of choice), scissors, favorite ink stamping colors, stamps, coloring media (pencils, markers, etc.) of choice, stickers, paper.

Scrapbookers can additionally bring, but are not required, the following items to complete projects onsite:

  • personal cutter

  • preference of personal adhesive

  • ribbon, raffia, string and/or cord

  • stamping tools and media

  • anything else!

Note: Please be sure to have any scrapbooking materials you bring identified. Examples include stencils and scissors that you don't mind sharing with a friend or the group for this workshop. These can be marked with colors (fingernail polish in a funky color works great), yarn, full contact information, etc. Just realize that you may not have the only pair of yellow, scallop, 5" scissors to be used within the group.
