One of her many current projects is with her mother and father, carrying on the tradition of preserving local (family) history with the Ottawa County, Oklahoma Families series.

Carrie Cook is the fourth generation directly involved in Gregath Co., Inc. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and is a published author, illustrator, and photographer in her own right. She serves as GCI Publisher, conducts genealogical tours and is the webmaster. In the past she has taught Genealogy, Writing and Computer Use at the area Vo-Tech Center (NTC), and served as the Miami (Oklahoma) Public Library Genealogy and Local History Specialist as their full genealogy department. Carrie is also one of the company's speakers available for programs and events.

Her historical interest continues through cultural events (Wyandotte Nation Pow Wow pictured at left) and such educational opportunities as Oklahoma Historical Preservation Conference, the class of 2004 National Institute of Genealogical Research (NIGR) at NARA (National Archives - USA), assorted Federation of Genealogical Societies Library Days.

A long time active member of several lineal and service organizations, she as served as the Oklahoma Division, UDC as Historian. Other current memberships include Association of Professional Genealogists, National Genealogical Society, Genealogical Speakers Guild, Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, and Mid-America Speakers, just to name a few.
